The Temple of Apollo Epicureus was the first site to be made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Greece and is of great archaeological importance due to its special architectural features.
The current website of the Temple is poorly designed and has a terrible user experience and an outdated look. So, as a personal project, I decided to redesign the website and, in order to improve my coding skills, I developed it using only HTML5, CSS3 and vanilla Javascript.
I began the redesign process by deciding the structure of the website dividing it in four sections: Home, Il Tempio, Glossario and Gallery.
After that I designed a few low-fidelity wireframes in order to determine the pages general layout.

After I designed the overall layout of the website, it was time to determine the visual style.
The Temple is an ancient and important hystorical and archaeological site, so I gave space to text and images with the aim of providing comprehensive information to visitors.
I used Html5, CSS3 and vanilla Javascript to develop the website.
For the website layout I used the css property flex-grid to optimally position the various elements.
The most challenging element to develop was the accordion that shows information about the history and architecture of the Temple.
